We are an association dedicated to establishing, developing, publishing and maintaining standards on behalf of the European aerospace industry. We not only publish and offer our own standards online (ASD-STAN prEN and TR) but also serve as a distributor for SAE ITC E&A (formerly ADS standards) and independently produced DIN EN standards.

ASD-STAN is well recognised as the European body for the development of global quality aerospace standards by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG).

Over the years, ASD-STAN crafted an efficient standardization process in collaboration with the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). Despite our success, our ongoing objective is to continuously reduce lead times in the standards development process to align with industry demands.

To date, ASD-STAN has published a total of 2599 European Norms (EN) through CEN. All our standards (ASD-STAN prENs) will ultimately be released by CEN as European Norms (EN). With over 2600 ENs, constituting 12% of available EN-Standards in Europe, ASD-STAN stands out as a primary contributor to European Aerospace Norms. Additionally, 79 Technical Reports were published, and 270 ASD-STAN prEN standards slated for transformation into European Norms through CEN in the near future. Currently, over 270 standard developments are underway, involving hundreds of experts from the European aerospace industry organized into 38 ASD-STAN Working Groups.
